Playing outside

We get Amstelveen moving

Nothing is as much fun as playing outside! That is why AmstelveenSport inspires and stimulates children to play (more) outside and to move in the neighborhood; this by organizing fun activities for all children.

Outdoor play day

Wednesday, June 10 | Various locations | 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

National Outdoor Play Day on Wednesday, June 10, is taking place at three different locations this year. You can come and play outside at Children's Park playground in Randwijck, Middachten playground in Westwijk, and Hortensialaan playground in Keizer Karelpark. All primary school children are welcome to come and enjoy playing outside, such as playing marbles, jumping on inflatable structures, playing football, participating in a scooter/balance bike course, playing with the sports and play equipment from the 'Beweegbus' (Movement Bus), and more.

LocationTime
Playground Hortensialaan (Keizer Karelpark)1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Children's Park/Nifterlake (Randwijck)1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Middachten Playground (Westwijk)2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

All children receive a stamp card. With this card, they can earn stamps for each activity. A full stamp card earns them a great prize, made possible in part by JOGG Amstelveen.

In addition, JOGG director Sven Kuit from AmstelveenSport will be present at all three locations with the XL Drink Game and Run For Your Life. In the XL Drink Game, children learn more about healthy drink choices in a playful way. Run For Your Life is an active quiz game where children run to different squares to answer questions. The quiz questions align with the themes from the Healthy Guest Lesson, ensuring that exercise and learning go hand in hand. Sven Kuit will be present.
– from 13:00 to 14:00 at Kinderdienstencentrum Nifterlake, Speeltuin Henegouwselaan (Randwijck)
– from 14:30 to 15:30 at Hortensialaan Playground (Keizer Karelpark)
– and from 16:00 to 17:00 at Speelplein Middachten (Westwijk).

Inclusive Outdoor Play Day Children's Park/Nifterlake (Randwijck)

An inclusive outdoor play day is being organized at Children's Park and indoors at Nifterlake, featuring games everyone can participate in. There is plenty to do, such as tandem cycling, seated archery, wheelchair basketball, giant bubble blowing, and much more. The activities are organized in collaboration with Ons Tweede Thuis and the Amstelveen Children's Council.
