The 14th edition of the MeentRun will take place on Sunday, April 12th! It's a running event for everyone, whether you're just starting out or a die-hard asphalt runner. The MeentRun is all about atmosphere, fun, and above all, the joy of exercising together, alone or with friends, family, or neighbors. In short, what are you waiting for? The start and finish of the MeentRun will be at the Meent meeting centre in Amstelveen (Orion 3, 1188 AM, Amstelveen).

On Sunday, May 31st, it's finally happening: the fifth edition of De Poeldag | SportExperience: a sporting discovery tour in and around De Poel.
Come and watch, join in: clinics, open training, sporting challenges, surprising demos and fun music and performances. Whether you are young or old, fanatic or just curious: there is something for everyone to do and experience.
A day full of action, creativity and fun – for the whole family.
More than 35 associations and organisations introduce you to everything Amstelveen has to offer in the field of exercise, sports and fun.
In between all the activities you can relax and enjoy music, performances and catering on site.

The 4-Day Cycling Event takes place from Monday, May 18th, to Thursday, May 21st. Led by our neighborhood sports coaches and staff from the Noorddammercentrum community center, you'll cycle a scenic route through the Amstelveen area.
There are two distances: 20 km and 25 to 30 km. The start of the distances is at 9:30 and 9:40 am respectively from the Noorddammercentrum.
Registration is not required and participation is free.

This year, National Outdoor Play Day on June 10th will take place at three different locations. You can come and play outside at Children's Park playground in Randwijck, Middachten playground in Westwijk, and Hortensialaan playground in Keizer Karelpark. Opening hours at Children's Park are 1:00 PM. All other locations are open from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. All children from
the primary school can come and play outside. Such as: marbles, jumping
on air cushions, playing football, participating in a scooter/balance bike course and playing with the sports and games equipment from the Beweegbus and more.
All children receive a stamp card. With this card, they can earn stamps for each activity. A full stamp card earns them a great prize, made possible in part by JOGG Amstelveen.
The Outdoor Play Day ends at 5:00 PM.

AmstelveenBeach is back on the agenda this year, at a new location! From Friday, June 12th, to Monday, June 22nd, we'll once again transform Handelsplein in Amstelveen into a tropical beach, packed with a fantastic range of top-level and recreational sports.
The program includes free play, the VrijMiBeach Tournament and the Hospitality and Business Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Come swim in the competition pool for 4 consecutive days. During the 4-day Swimming Event In De Meerkamp we will try to break the 2025 record. The distance can be swum between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM o'clock.
