Successful first POS meeting brings together 25 Amstelveen sports providers
During National Sports Week, 25 sports providers from Amstelveen will gather on Wednesday, September 23, for the first POS lunch meeting. The meeting, organized by AmstelveenSport, focuses on getting acquainted, sharing knowledge, and collaborating.
POS, the Platform for Entrepreneurial Sports Providers, connects sports providers with one another. Network Director Robbert Schilder of AmstelveenSport is building this network and stimulating collaboration between sports providers and social partners, such as schools, healthcare institutions, and sports clubs. By sharing knowledge and experiences, new initiatives emerge that contribute to getting more Amstelveners moving. For example, CrossFit Amstelveen is already collaborating with AmstelveenSport and is open to leading BOR groups three times a week, and there are plans to bring ballroom dancing back to schools in collaboration with Dansschool Mittelmeijer.
Kristiana Anusa, Sports Advisor at the Municipality of Amstelveen, is also present at the meeting. She emphasizes the importance of POS for the municipality and expresses her appreciation for the involvement of the entrepreneurial sports providers. Additionally, she indicates that she is open to ideas and initiatives from the sports sector to further strengthen the dialogue between the municipality and sports providers.
The large turnout shows how much energy and entrepreneurship is present within Amstelveen sports. Maikel van der Lingen and Ture de Weijer from POS national are also present and are impressed: “It is incredible that so many sports providers are already coming together in such a short time.”
The ambition is to further develop POS into a strong network where sports providers find each other, share knowledge, and collaborate. A network that sports providers want to be a part of and that contributes to a sporty and active Amstelveen.
