AmstelveenSport ensures that sports talents are given the opportunity to develop. We do this with the support of the Municipality of Amstelveen, a number of primary schools, and the secondary schools in Amstelveen.
If you want to become a top athlete, it takes a lot of time. This can come at the expense of school performance. But it doesn't have to. In Amstelveen, all secondary schools are top-sport friendly. The Hermann Wesselink College, the Keizer Karel College, the Amstelveen College, and Futuris work closely with AmstelveenSport for optimal guidance of talented athletes. If you need more time for your sport than is possible under the Compulsory Education Act, we advise you to look at a Top Sports Talent School to go.
Your performance at school determines the freedom you receive to pursue your sport or talent; our talent counselors, Robbert Schilder and Babiche Roof, provide advice on this, together with the top sports coordinators within the schools.
If you think you qualify for talent status, contact the top sports coordinator at your school.
Fysiomed and AmstelveenSport have started a collaboration.

In collaboration with our partners, we provide talents with targeted advice and assistance, such as a quick referral to medical specialists in case of injuries. AmstelveenSport also regularly organizes workshops for talents, which can support them. The workshops can be about effective homework, visualization in sports, becoming mentally strong or how you as a parent deal with a talented child.
